Growing up, I’ve always loved playing video games.
I loved playing them so much so I wanted to create them.
Intrigued, I logged on to YouTube and searched on how to build my own game.
After watching a couple videos and tutorials, I managed to create my own first 2D pixel game. The sense of accomplishment was real.
And that’s when it happened – the spark.
From thinking of the idea for the game to working on its design to programming it, I loved the entire development experience – and realized it was something I truly enjoyed.
I loved programming the moment I did it.
The sheer joy of making things, solving puzzles and continuous learning – I was looking for ways just to code.
So, after high school, I decided to pursue Software Engineering.
I wanted to venture into the field professionally. And naturally, Forward School was at the top of my list.
One of the many reasons why I chose Forward School is its emphasis on hands-on learning. In my first semester alone, I’ve learned how to code and deploy my web projects online for the world to see.
And with all this, I may still have a long way to go but I hope to be able to make an impact in the world as a Software Engineer one day.
