I was a member of Robotics Club during my secondary school and that is when I got exposed to programming. It was there where I first started to have an interest in programming. My journey to become a Software Engineer started when I joined the computer science stream in my secondary school. Since then, I have joined various workshops to know more about this field.
I aspire to become a Software Engineer as it provides constant growth and learning throughout the whole career. I will be able to learn and use it to solve problems which brings me personal satisfaction. I feel accomplished when I am able to build something based on the stuff that I learned. There are also many possibilities and challenges in this career which excites me about it. Most importantly, I am constantly amazed by how much of an impact software has had to change the quality of life that we live in. It was then I decided to study Software Engineering, to become a Software Engineer that contributes to the tech-society solving real world problems.
I came across Forward School back in 2019 in ACat Penang where I participated in a boot camp. I was interested in their full time course after they explained in detail to me. By comparison with other universities, Forward School provides hands-on and practical teaching and their curriculum is always up to date to match the industrial needs so that we students could learn the latest relevant and trending skills.
One of the favourite memories in the school is that we get to hang out with the students and staff after our classes/work. We were able to have fun together after classes and chit-chat which brings us together. We were also able to celebrate Christmas together last year which was a fun experience for me.
After graduating, I hope to pursue further in my software engineering career as I continue to enhance my skills. I would like to work in different companies locally and overseas to get more experience in software engineering. I also plan on working freelance after gaining enough experience.
