Ever since I was young, I’ve always enjoyed building things.
I’ve built things from personal computers to even, producing my own music at one point of time.
My aspirations are less in coding itself and more in creation of things. But turns out, coding is essentially, creating things.
So, upon graduating secondary school, I started looking for ways to combine my hobbies with development.
And Software Engineering was my answer.
I came across Forward School in a local education fair back in December 2019 and was immediately captivated by its program due to its skills-based approach and job placement opportunities. I thought it was a great fit to what I wanted in a school.
Now, I’m approaching the end of my second semester as a student in Forward School.
Time flies, but I’ve never learnt so much in a short time.
What’s my progress? A semester ago, I knew nothing about coding or how websites were made. Today, I can now code my own website, and I think that says a lot.
