I’ve always loved figuring things out and solving problems.
The first time I remember feeling the problem-solving glow was in secondary school.
In Form 2, I was introduced to the concept of Internet-of-Things (IoT) by my two very passionate teachers. I was amazed by how such applications can change the world for the better. I continued to learn more about the different tech advancements available and participated in competitions.
One competition after another, there is somehow a hard-wired satisfaction that I get after building something.
At that very moment, I wanted to hone my skills and become a full-stack web developer-- and eventually, build my very own tech company in the future.
So I followed my dreams and pursued Software Engineering.
From code-along sessions to building projects with my peers, I had many enjoyable moments as a Software Engineering in Forward School.
But one of my favorite moments will be the industry attachments, where I get to actually work in a company while studying. I thoroughly enjoy such experiences as I can practice what I’ve learned and in the real world!
That aside, being a Software Engineering student is so much more than just coding.
It’s an ongoing journey, really. As technology is constantly evolving, there’s always something new to learn every day.
